Atlassian Team ’25 Highlights
What a week it was. Once again, Atlassian Team ’25 delivered innovative product updates, visionary ideas and an unmissable opportunity to connect with fellow Atlassian Marketplace vendors, solution partners, and more.
Held across 8-10th April at Anaheim Conference Center, California, Team ‘25 was a blast (if you followed us on socials, you’ll have seen that our fox plushie Ola had great fun!).
Atlassian’s flagship event was also home to some pretty seismic product announcements – and we can’t wait to fill you in.
Rovo is now free for many of us!
The big news of the week was that Rovo is now included, at no extra cost, in Enterprise and Premium plans. Atlassian also announced that it will also be free for those on Standard plans at some point.
This is amazing news. Put simply, most Atlassian users can now benefit from the power of Rovo agents, tap into their enterprise knowledge using Rovo search, and find the answers they need with Rovo chat – all free of charge.
Even your non-Atlassian users can now use Rovo for less, as Atlassian has cut prices from $20 per user, per month, down to $5 per user/month.
In doing this, Atlassian has really supercharged its mission to embed AI into all teams, ensuring nobody misses out on the value, collaboration and efficiency that Rovo delivers.
New Rovo agents for software developers
As you may already know, Rovo comes ready with a number of out-of-the-box agents, from the ‘Comms Crafter’ to the ‘Global Translator’. At Team ’25, Atlassian announced three brand new Rovo agents, specifically designed to save time for software development teams by actioning the following:
- Create code plans
- Generate code
- Review PR
Products are now apps (but apps are still apps)
We’re no longer calling Confluence or Jira a product. Nope, as of Team ‘25, all tools within the Atlassian System of Work are now referred to as ‘apps’. This is part of a move towards what Atlassian describes as a ‘portfolio of interconnected apps powered by the Atlassian Cloud Platform.’
So, tools like Confluence, Jira and JSM will now be known as ‘Atlassian apps’. Third-party apps meanwhile, like our own range, will always be referred to as ‘Marketplace apps’.
Welcome to two new collections: Strategy and Teamwork
Atlassian announced two new collections, where apps and Rovo agents have been carefully packaged together to maximise collaboration and productivity for teams.
The first is the Strategy Collection, which includes Jira Align, Focus and Talent, to provide enterprise leaders with the visibility of work and goals they need.
The second is the Teamwork Collection, which combines Jira, Loom and Confluence with selected Rovo agents to truly unlock cohesion and productivity on one unified platform.
Bringing teams and processes together with Workflows for Confluence
Build bespoke workflows to manage your documentation processes and keep stakeholders from all different teams in the loop.
With automated actions, real-time alerts, and a flexible workflow builder, you can keep all teams on the same page as your work progresses through different approval, review and other processes.
Workflows for Confluence provides you with control over your Confluence documentation, greater visibility and enhanced efficiency.
Our own AppFox-er took to the stage!
We were super proud to see our Product Manager, Nirav Ganju-Cass, deliver a theatre session on the final day of Team ’25.

Centred on the theme of Compliance, which we know is a real priority for so many organizations, Nirav’s session, ‘27001: A Compliance Odyssey’ delivered actionable insights for folks to take away and apply to their own work, explaining how to balance control and collaboration, embed your processes into your Confluence pages, and reduce the risk of sensitive data exposure.
While Confluence provides the foundations, with spaces, page-level permissions and content statuses, marketplace apps like Compliance and Workflows go further in helping you:
- Maintain document confidentiality, with page classification tools
- Prevent sensitive data leaks, with sensitive data scanning and automations
- Keep documentation accurate and current, with automated document approvals and lifecycles managed directly on the page
- Make compliance part of everyone’s workflow—not just your Compliance Officer’s
It was a great session, and we hope attendees left feeling reinvigorated on their compliance journey – especially when armed with the knowledge that tools, like Atlassian Marketplace apps, are out there to make their Confluence data more secure, safe and compliant.
Focus on Compliance for Confluence
Imagine a world where a single Atlassian Marketplace app could scan all your pages in Confluence and flag where sensitive data is hiding.
What if that app could then automatically redact it?
And imagine if you could automatically control access to pages holding sensitive data, by using flexible data classification levels.
Well, with Compliance for Confluence, you can do all of this. Bring control, classification and compliance to your Confluence content.
From protecting your sensitive data to managing user access, the Compliance for Confluence app is an essential tool for all compliance managers and data protection officers.
There were some epic Beat Saber contenders
Team isn’t team without a heap of fun things to try and a healthy dose of competition – which could definitely be found at the AppFox booth!
Our Beat Saber contest, back by popular demand from last year, saw some great challengers have a go for the grand prize of the Meta Quest 3 headset.

We love bringing something fun and unusual that connects people to Team, and this year was no exception. Congratulations to all our winners!
Well, that’s a wrap…
Thanks as always to the amazing Atlassian team for putting on such a great event, and to all the fellow partners, vendors and customers who contributed to the sense of innovation, inspiration and connection at Team ’25 Anaheim.
We’re already looking forward to next year. As is our Ola!
